Measurements at a Coal-Fired Boiler with High Entrained Droplet Concentrations in the Stack Gas Stream
Air Control Techniques, P.C. designed, fabricated, and applied a
modified Method 2F-2H sampling system to accurately measure gas flow
rates in the 30-foot diameter stack that had high concentrations of
entrained water droplets. Tests conducted by other testing companies
prior to this work yielded inaccurate results due to velocity pressure
variations caused by the capture of water droplets. The 3-D data
compiled by Air Control Techniques, P.C. provided accurate gas flow
rate data.
